Staff Augmentation Services | Contact Center and Back-Office Staff Under Your Management
Staff Augmentation
Staff augmentation adds trained people to your team without adding them to your payroll. You keep control of the work — your processes, your systems, your supervisors, your targets — while the provider recruits, employs, equips and replaces the staff. It suits organisations that know exactly how they want the work done and simply need more capacity, faster than they can hire it.
Global Empire Corporation supplies augmented staff for customer service, sales, technical support and back-office roles, drawing on more than 25 years of recruiting and running contact center teams across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations and 27+ languages.

Your Management, Our People — and a Clear Line Between the Two
Staff augmentation goes wrong when nobody is sure who is responsible for what. The client assumes the provider is managing performance; the provider assumes the client is, because the client directs the work. The agent gets feedback from neither.
We draw the line in writing. You own direction, priorities, process and day-to-day quality. We own recruitment, employment, attendance, equipment, working environment, replacement and the conversations that come with being someone's employer. Where you would rather we took on supervision and quality as well, that is managed outsourcing — and we will say which of the two your situation actually calls for.

How Staff Augmentation Works
Speed matters, but the role definition decides whether the people we send are the people you needed.

- Define the Role — Tasks, skills, languages, hours, systems and the performance standard — in enough detail to recruit against.
- Source and Shortlist — We recruit from our existing talent pool and the market, screen for skills and language, and present candidates. You can interview.
- Equip and Secure — Managed devices, secure connectivity and a suitable working environment provided to your security requirements.
- Onboard Into Your Team — Your training, your systems access, your supervisors. We coordinate attendance and logistics.
- Support and Replace — Regular check-ins on fit and performance, and prompt replacement if someone is not working out or moves on.
Staff Augmentation vs Managed Outsourcing: Which One Do You Need?
Both put external people on your work. The difference is who manages the outcome. Under staff augmentation you buy capacity and manage it yourself. Under managed outsourcing you buy a result — a service level, a resolution rate, a processing accuracy — and the provider manages everything required to deliver it. Choosing the wrong one is the most common reason these arrangements disappoint.
Augmentation is the right choice when you have strong operational management with spare attention, mature processes, and a need that is about volume or skills rather than capability. It keeps knowledge and control inside your organisation and is usually quicker to start. Its weakness is that your managers' time becomes the constraint. Twenty additional agents need coaching, scheduling, quality review and someone to ask — and if that capacity does not exist, the new staff will underperform through no fault of their own.
Managed outsourcing is the right choice when the management layer is what you lack, when the process needs improving rather than just staffing, or when you want a provider accountable for results. You give up some day-to-day control and gain someone contractually responsible for the number. Many organisations use both at once: augmentation for a specialist team that must sit inside the business, and a managed program for high-volume work. A provider offering only one of the two will tend to recommend it. Ask what they would advise if they offered both.

- Augmentation buys capacity you manage; outsourcing buys a result the provider manages
- Choose augmentation when your processes and managers are strong and you need volume or skills
- Your own management time is the hidden constraint on augmented staff
- Choose managed outsourcing when you want someone accountable for the outcome

Frequently asked questions
What is staff augmentation?
An arrangement in which a provider supplies trained staff who work as part of your team, under your direction, while remaining employed, equipped and administered by the provider. It adds capacity or skills without permanent hiring.
How is it different from outsourcing?
In staff augmentation you manage the people and own the outcome. In managed outsourcing the provider manages the people and is accountable for agreed results. The first buys capacity; the second buys a service level.
How quickly can staff start?
It depends on the role and language. Common customer service and back-office roles can often be filled from our existing talent pool; specialist skills and less common languages take longer. Client-side access provisioning is frequently the longest step, so it is worth starting early.
Can we interview and choose the people?
Yes. We screen and shortlist, and you can interview and select. You can also ask for a replacement if someone proves not to be the right fit.
Who provides equipment and a secure workplace?
We do, to your requirements: managed devices, secure connectivity, and office-based or controlled remote environments depending on the sensitivity of the work.
Can augmented staff become a managed program later?
Yes, and it is a common path. Teams that begin as augmentation often move to a managed model once volume grows and the client would rather buy an outcome than supervise a larger group.
TESTIMONIALS
Our trusted clients
As we expanded from Europe into North America, we knew customer service and technical support would be critical to success. We were impressed to learn Global Empire was handling support for a market leader. After working with them, it’s clear why — their service sets the standard.
One of our members struggled with registration and called our toll-free number. The Global Empire agent remained calm, extremely helpful, and professional throughout a long troubleshooting process. Because of that call, the customer remained loyal — and that is a huge asset.
Global Empire is over-delivering on SPH and sales targets. Their performance has helped us reduce acquisition costs significantly, and they have proven to be the missing link in our growth strategy.
