24/7 Live Answering Service | A Person Answers, Every Hour of Every Day
Round-the-Clock Coverage
The calls that arrive at three in the morning, on Thanksgiving, or in the hour after your team has gone home are not the cheap ones. They are the customer with an emergency, the patient who cannot wait, the prospect in another time zone, the client whose problem is happening right now. Every one of them is calling from a search result with your competitors listed underneath you, and none of them is going to leave a voicemail and hope.
Global Empire Corporation answers those calls live, in your company name, twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year, from two North American head offices staffed around the clock. Not an overflow arrangement that thins out at night, not an automated attendant with a person somewhere behind it — a trained agent, following your rules, at any hour a customer chooses to call.
- Agents rostered through every hour of every day, including nights, weekends and public holidays, not an overflow line that thins out
- Two staffed head offices, so one site's outage does not take your line down with it
- Your emergency rules and on-call rotation followed at 3am exactly as they are at 3pm
- Every call logged, so you can see what the overnight hours are actually worth to you

'24/7' Is the Easiest Claim to Make and the Hardest to Staff
Most services that advertise round-the-clock answering deliver it as a thin overnight shift, a forwarded line to a partner in another country, or a voicemail with a promise of a morning callback. The caller finds out which at the moment they most need a person. Genuine 24/7 coverage means agents scheduled through every hour, including the ones that are unpopular to work; supervisors awake with them; redundancy across sites so a local outage does not become your outage; and holiday rosters written in advance rather than negotiated on the day.
The cost of getting it wrong is concentrated. The calls after hours are a small share of your volume and a large share of your value: the emergency, the high-intent enquiry, the customer about to churn. A desk that answers ninety-five per cent of calls beautifully and drops the overnight five per cent has dropped the calls the service was bought for.
For any business whose customers do not keep office hours
What Round-the-Clock Coverage Actually Involves
Answering in Your Name, at Any Hour
The caller hears your company, not ours, at midnight exactly as they would at noon. Greeting, tone and script are yours, and the agent has your knowledge base in front of them, so the overnight caller is not told 'I'm just the answering service'.
Urgent or Not, by Your Definition
Every program starts with a written rule for what wakes someone. A no-heat call, a security breach, a system outage, a patient in distress, a client with a deadline in another time zone: you decide what counts, and the agent applies it rather than deciding at 3am whether to bother you.
Escalation That Follows a Rotation
On-call by phone, then text, then the second and third contacts, following the calendar you maintain rather than a single number that stops being answered on the one night the person carrying it is ill. Escalations are timed and logged so a missed handoff is visible the next morning.
Booking and Intake, Not Just Messages
Appointments booked into your calendar, intake captured in your system, orders taken, jobs opened. The overnight call should be finished by the time your team arrives, not waiting for them as a note to action.
Holiday and Weekend Coverage Planned in Advance
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, the long weekend when your competitors' lines go to voicemail. Holiday rosters are written weeks ahead and confirmed with you, because 'we are open 24/7' is a claim tested on the days it is hardest to keep.
A Morning Report of the Night
Every call, its outcome, and what was promised. The report is how you find out that the overnight hours are worth more than you thought, or that the emergency line is being used for questions that could be booked, and it is how the rules get better month by month.
We Work Inside Your Systems Overnight, Not Beside Them
A round-the-clock desk that produces a pile of notes for the morning has moved the work, not done it. The overnight caller who was saved at 2am is then scheduled no faster than the one who left a voicemail, and the whole point of live coverage was to be ahead of that.
So agents work inside whatever you run: field service platforms such as ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and Jobber; practice and scheduling systems; helpdesk and ticketing tools; CRMs; or a shared calendar and a group text. Where you would rather not grant system access, the handoff is a structured email and text that your team can action in one step rather than a transcript to be rekeyed. What round-the-clock coverage costs, and why the quiet hours are the expensive ones, is set out in the cost of 24/7 customer support.

- Appointments, jobs and tickets created live in your own platform at any hour
- Escalation by phone then text, following your on-call calendar and its backup contacts
- Customer history checked before an agent commits to a time, a price or a promise
- Call recording and message logging aligned to the consent rules of the jurisdictions you operate in, confirmed with your counsel

Frequently asked questions
Is this genuinely 24/7, or an after-hours service with a different name?
Genuinely round the clock. Our two head offices, in Edmonton and Scottsdale, are staffed through every hour of every day, with supervisors on shift alongside the agents and rosters written for nights, weekends and public holidays in advance. If what you actually need is after-hours only, say so; that is a smaller program and it is priced as one, and our guide to after-hours answering explains the difference.
What happens if one of your sites has an outage overnight?
The other one carries the line. Two staffed sites in different regions is the reason we can make the 24/7 claim without a caveat: a local power, network or weather event at one location does not become your customers' problem. Business continuity arrangements are part of the scope conversation, and you are welcome to ask for the detail before you sign.
Do overnight agents know our business as well as daytime ones?
They work from the same knowledge base, the same scripts and the same rules, and the same quality review samples overnight calls deliberately rather than by chance. The difference between good and poor 24/7 coverage is almost always whether the night shift is treated as the same program or as a lesser one, and we treat it as the same program because the night calls are the ones that carry the most value.
Can you book appointments and take orders at night, or only messages?
Booking and intake are usually where round-the-clock coverage pays for itself. Agents can schedule into your calendar, open a job or a ticket, take an order, or complete an intake form in your system at any hour, so the work is finished when your team arrives rather than waiting for them. What an agent may do is defined in the scope: some businesses want everything completed overnight, some want only the urgent work done and the rest booked for the morning.
Which businesses actually need 24/7 rather than after-hours coverage?
Any business whose customers' emergencies, time zones or buying moments do not match office hours: home services and property management, medical and care practices, legal intake, IT and managed services, logistics, e-commerce with customers across time zones, and any company selling into markets that are awake when you are not. If your missed calls cluster at one predictable time, after-hours coverage may be enough. If they come at all hours, they need a desk that is there at all hours.
Are calls recorded, and is that allowed at night?
Calls can be recorded and logged, and the rules do not change with the hour, but they do change with the place. Some jurisdictions require every party's consent to record a call and others require one party's; the requirement follows where the caller and the agent are, not where you are. We configure recording and the announcement to the rule that applies to your program, and we ask you to confirm the position with your own counsel, because the obligation is yours.
What does 24/7 live answering cost?
It follows the coverage rather than a published rate. Round-the-clock coverage costs more than after-hours-only because people are awake for a smaller number of calls, and the variables on top of that are call volume and its shape, how much of the work is booking and intake versus message-taking, whether agents work inside your systems, and whether you need bilingual coverage. We scope those against a real month of your call data and quote per program.
